Mark Twain

Samuel Langhorne Clemens was a famous American writer and a humorist. He was better known as Mark Twain. Perhaps everybody knows about the adventures of Tom Sawyer. He was born in Florida, Missouri on November 30th, 1835. He was only 11 when his father died. When he was 12 he began working as a sailor.

The most famous story he had written was “The adventures of Tom Sawyer”. This book became very popular. Not only kids like it but also adults do. It was translated nearly into every language in the world.

Mark Twain died from a heart attack in 1910.
