Nowadays a lot of people have hobbies which help them to relax and develop their personality. Some people devote all their free time to hobbies. Sometimes hobby can become their profession. I’d like to tell you about hobbies in the world.

Firstly I’ll tell you about visiting museums galleries. I think people with such hobby learn a lot about art, artists, sculptors and so on. Nowadays visiting museums of ancient art is very popular with old people. But the exhibitions of modern art are also popular with teenagers. Secondly, I’ll say a few words about playing musical instruments. In my opinion, only people with good musical hearing can be interested in it. Some children go to musical school. This hobby takes a lot of time. But people, who have achieved great results, can earn money this way.

Thirdly, I’d to draw your attention to the fact that at present sport is very important for people of all ages. Nowadays it’s up-to-date to be healthy and fit. So, people go in for different sports.

Then I’ll tell you about painting which is one of the most complicated kinds of art. To paint well you should have a talent. Some children go to the art schools to get skills of drawing.

In addition I’d like to stress that a lot of people spend their free time listening to the radio or watching TV. On the one hand, it has a lot of advantages if you watch or listen to educational, cultural programmes or the news. On the other hand, if you watch cartoons or soap operas and so on, it’s useless. You can even become “a coach potato”.

Moreover I’d like to point out that now it is widely spread to watch video films. It’s very comfortable to sit in the armchair at home instead of going to the cinema. A lot of people enjoy it.

At the end I want to mention visiting jazz concerts. It’s great pleasure to be at the concert of jazz band. It’s popular with people of all ages.

Tastes differ and so do hobbies.
